Oh, so I gotta see Killer Joe before I can understand this review.
Oh, so I gotta see Killer Joe before I can understand this review.
I keep forgetting I love the song Reflektor and then I'm like, "Oh yeah, I love Reflektor." It's almost 8 minutes long and yet I feel like it's not long enough.
I look forward to when someone makes a movie with that title.
Next thought piece: "Does 'Hipster' Actually Mean Anything Or Is It Just Used By People Who Think They Understand The Zeitgeist But Have No Clue?"
I'm surprised Arcade Fire's Reflektor isn't there… but I guess I shouldn't be, since a lot of people were divided on it. I think it's the best new album I've heard this year, though.
I thought the quotes about A Serious Man were fake, but then I remembered this wasn't written by Sean O'Neal.
I too am wondering what this image means, but I'm not interested enough to look up all of these films. Why must they be so secretive about their images lately?!
I assume it's a collaboration between Henderson, Nimby Project, Peepums NastyGum, and Full Chort.
I've been very gradually enjoying the newish podcast by Mike Daisey, the guy who did the story on This American Life about visiting China to see the people who make our electronics… and then it was revealed that a few elements of his story were themselves fabricated (though what surprised me was how little it was…

Peter who? Peter Parker? Peter Gabriel?
It's interesting to see Davis so blown away by something. I'm sure he falls in love with local music on a daily basis but now we know there's still a place he can go beyond his usual hyperbolic exuberance.
I give it an A too. I feel like I'm inflating my grade but I'm just so thrilled that this show is back.
Well, I wasn't being serious about the "sonsabitches", and it's a complaint on behalf of the show, not on behalf of my own cheap self.
I remember when images on here had text underneath them to explain what they are, instead of just being a complete non sequitur that you know has something to do with the article but have no way of finding out how.
I love this show and I've never even smoked pot.
Slightly off topic: The DVDs of season 3 were released on November 19th, less than 2 weeks before season 4 starts. What madness is this?! I visit my library's website frequently to put holds on DVDs of shows I've watched so that I can refresh my memory before the next season starts. There was no damn way I was going…
