Lil Ben's Wound
Damn this show. Now it's got me wondering if there's ever a shot of adult Ben without his shirt on, so that one might spy a telltale bullet wound. I'm not sure even the Lost writers were thinking that far ahead, but still….I wonder.

Hmmm, a little tying up of loose ends before the finale? You might be on to something there.

I'm saying we're going to get it in episode 13.

Well, Widmore does say that one swallow is worth more than Desmond would make in a month.

I'm pretty sure the Purge is still going to take place in the same manner. I'm not completely sold on their ability to change things. The fact that we know so little about the Dharma Initiative at this period in time allows for a lot of time traveling weirdness that doesn't necessarily impact the history.

We've been told that Vincent lives, true. But then there are fates worse than death…

It was definitely LSD or a similar substance. The sugar cube really gives that away. Also as mentioned above it is very fitting with the time period. The US government had been doing similar experiments with LSD as a truth serum in interrogations in their MKULTRA project. Although this DHARMA brand seems pretty

Can't really take the credit. Lostpedia is my Bible.

I'm not so sure about that. I think Jack, in his stubborn desire to save EVERYONE (which I love to death, don't get me wrong) would have blown everyone's cover in the process of freeing Sayyid. Cue to a lot of shooting and running into the jungle.

Yep, that was indeed Widmore's own favorite brand, MacCutcheon whisky. For a hyper expensive liquor, it sure does get around. Widmore has it, Anthony Cooper has it, there was a bottle in Sawyer's stash, and now we see Sayyid drinking it.

Ack, I meant to say "I totally agree with you about Jack." Little bit of a Freudian slip there.

Oh, I totally agree with Jack. I think that's the underlying reason behind Sawyer's critique of Jack's leadership in "Namaste". Jack seems to be more of a moral leader than a great strategist. Although it would seem that both decisions have a price.

Maybe it's just a case of building up Oldham for a payoff in a coming episode, but I still feel that it made for more of an awkward moment in this episode than anything else.

Does that mean we're not going to get to see awkward junior high Sayyid?

I keep waiting for someone to pull rank on Jack.

Lafleur vs. Jack Leadership
I think tonight we were shown a really big and interesting difference between the ways that Jack and Sawyer take the role of leader. It seems that in the end Sawyer decided to sacrifice Sayyid in order to protect the cover of the rest of the Dharma Losties. It's an understandable choice,

Blade Runner? It was probably either that or Deadwood.

"I can't imagine being strapped to a tree and fed strong hallucinogens while surrounded by crazy people."

I figured the burning bus was just the diversion Ben was using to give him a chance to free Sayyid. Oh, Lil Ben, that rascal! His plans are so good from such an early age.

Hahaha. I had the same thought. Stupid Work Man. You know Phil's just going to tell him to get right back in there and clean it up.
