Wow. Musta been a huge blimp!

I'm at the point where every article or newscast should simply show a black screen and text that says "YOU KNOW WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE" rather than a pic.

Oh, and I'm supposed to think this is impartial coming from a website under the umbrella of The Onion?!?

One thing that's always weirded me out about this site: why is there no user named Some Idiot With Balloons?

Much props for having Rebecca Hall there - her performance in "Christine" was outstandingly heartbreaking. The scene where she tries to improvise with that woman who clearly knows nothing about her life but is feebly trying to help her change her perspective is the scene in which she completely loses hope, and Hall

My biggest disappointment is that "Tower" didn't get a Best Documentary nomination. It's tough to make a film about a shooting that happened 50 years ago as terrifying as that was considering how ubiquitous they are today, but it was unnerving and riveting.

That still seems like speculation especially considering the 3 1/2 years before the next candidate gets nominated, but even while I have a FB, I'd trust Bill Gates or Warren Buffett far more than Zuckerberg if we had to have a mega-rich President who built his empire by himself.

Amazon, I expected better from you.

I am in favor of this.

One of the most interesting things to me is the…stretch of an explanation that this was some sort of shared psychological trauma that had to do with being an interracial couple in the early 1960s. That's only one of many, though; this article mentioned most of the rest. It's admirably thorough.

I'm not going to type a comment that is the written equivalent of me vomiting in terror, but what I'd like to add is how much I appreciated Stephen's emphasizing of Obama's humanity. He is a complex man, but at the same time those don't take away from understanding or appreciating him, and his successor has so little

Honestly, I think watching "TBBT" would have the same effect of watching Dee try to amuse the Gang as an audience, I'd find it hysterical because of how not funny it actually is.

Nas' "Black President" was always way better. Someone once described this Jeezy song as "mindless fist-pumping" and I couldn't think of a better way to word it myself.

This is a surprise? He stole his original slogan from Reagan and claimed to have no idea about it after he trademarked it. His defense after finding out was "well, Reagan didn't trademark it!"

Black people were ambivalent about people thinking President Obama would be their spokesperson over his presidency, fearing it would make them look homogeneous to other Americans. Thankfully, they have all unanimously coalesced behind Lieutenant Buttocks, who can be trusted to tell us how they feel about anything at

I like John's self-deprecating sense of humor, and this was a fun commercial/skit hybrid sort of thing. Although I do hope he doubles triples quadruples up on trying to get people involved in activism this coming season, especially since the first segment he did where he encouraged people on how to do that was on net

Over 200 kinds of fish, including the state fish of Hawaii, with his friend Dwayne!

YES, I AM SO PSYCHED FOR THIS. Looks like it's going to be even more intense than I anticipated. Netflix has a 90-second trailer out now that ends with one line of ominous dialogue from Jason Segel.

Any other macro-engineering projects in the pipeline that could result in sea level lowering? Seems we ought to get on it, particularly in this country in the next 5 days.

Hoping Netflix at least is able to give us season 2 for a bit of an appetizer come next month.
