I couldn't agree more. Such a simple idea to get showrunners to talk through a season, and such a delight for TV geeks like myself.

I'm really not sure why but the biggest laugh for me all night was Sudeikis saying "buttered bread". Just a great, surreal, throw away line.

"Since X-Factor’s only live shows are its final two episodes…"

The review of Tyrannosaur originally said "there’s the whole British/Irish/Scottish “extreme misery” genre". It has since been changed.

Noel - you're aware that Scotland is in Britain, right?

I can't imagine that the MTV version will be anything other than awful. It'll be so toned down.

@Dirtbike - Yeah, that's so true. I was watching the news earlier here in the UK and the anchor said "singer Amy Winehouse…" and I immediately knew the next words would be "has been found dead".

Appreciate the response as ever Double M.

Character growth
Whilst I'm a fan of McNutt's analytical style (one that's entirely appropriate for a show like The Office) I think it's rather misplaced here.

I love how Mr Gilbert appears to be in Malia on a stag weekend, should provide some good comedy there.

It's especially true of people who've been to university and accrued severe debt. I've known many graduates who've ended up back with their parents into their late twenties in order to clear their debts and build up some funds for the future.

Inbetweeners vs Skins
It's an old debate (at least in the UK), but these two shows get compared regularly.

In the first two series Will and Simon would call Jay on his bullshit, but move on quickly. In series three they actually challenge him on it to the point where he has to defend himself.

Trolling is insulting without purpose or need. I was commenting on very specific shortcomings in your review. I don't think it's unfair for readers to expect a level of knowledge and accuracy from professional writers.

This Herzog character is clearly part of the AV Club B-team. Unforgivable sins: dissing P&R, having no past knowledge of the show he's covering, missing an obvious Glengarry Glen Ross homage, confusing the words "your" and "you're", etc.

Roger! Rogeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!

I don't much care for laugh tracks either, but at least it was a show that utilised a live audience rather than canned laughter.

Second series much better than the first, but both are absolutely watchable.

I've just been to B&Q for a bag of tungsten tipped screws. Never gonna use 'em. Never gonna use 'em…
