"H…I…R…P…E…E…S"

Callbacks ahoy
The show seemed to go out of its way to have callbacks to old episodes here. Most obvious was Michael revisiting his sexual history, but also references to Andy's trait of making stand-up declarations in the office, and the call back to Michael and Oscar's kiss.

Tosh.0 is like that "We Sell Your Stuff On Ebay" store from 40 Year Old Virgin. It's useful only to people who don't have their own access to the internet. Which is virtually nobody.

Cheap bastards. It's no wonder they recommission Tosh.0, that must cost as much as an internet connection.

Demitri Martin's show was "too expensive"!? It was the cheapest looking, film-studentesque amateurish shit I've ever seen.

@Donald Caballero - Oh don't be mean to him, surely having to live with his stupidity is punishment enough.

Then what would I complain about?

It is done?
Now that this show is actually airing does that mean I'll no longer have to see Nick Swardson's grinning fucking face everytime I come on this site?

@Gimli - That's true. That's why I'm terrified of Edward James Olmos.

Hardcore?
I will not consider them truly "hardcore" until they question the nature of magnets.

Show Killer
He's also appearing on the next episode of Running Wilde. That's the final nail in the coffin for that show then.

Aw crap
This is why I shouldn't surf the net whilst watching Community: I didn't notice any of the Abed stuff!

@Really? - you're entitled to your opinion, of course, but the general critical and fan consensus is that Dinner Party was The Office at its best. It was hilariously funny but dark and full of pathos. Dinner Party, along with preceeding episode The Deposition, are my favourite eps of that show.

@frankz is logged in - sadly I did see it, and the only reason I sat through it to the end is because June Diane Raphael looked shit hot in it.

SAMCRO FOREVER
Hooray! That is all.

Grosse Pointe Blank - he was great in that. But that's about it (and it was 13 fucking years ago).

I think the reason Year One was so shit is that it was a lousy idea to begin with, so they were stuck trying to make an unfunny premise funny. Ghostbusters is a great concept and already has established characters, all they've got to do is write good material for them.

The Office
Even though Year One was a pile of shit I still think Stupnitsky and Eisenberg could write something good. They've written some great episodes of The Office (including the holy fucking awesome Dinner Party episode).

Yeah it is Andrew Lincoln. I'm intrigued to see how well he handles an American accent (specifically a Georgia accent if the character stays true to the books).

I imagine the pilot will be pretty expensive, but as an ongoing series it shouldn't be too expensive if it sticks to the books.
