Buffy References?
I know the LOST references in this episode were flying out in the forefront, but I got the sense that we had some subtle Buffy the Vampire Slayer references too. I mean, the use of "The Gentleman" coupled with the effect that shows the Blitz essence transferring owners really made me think of "Hush."

Comic Con!
Any other nerds notice real Brooklyn-based Alcoholic/Quitter artist Dean Haspiel signing comics in the background of that sequence? Anyone notice anyone else interesting?

I kept expecting it to suck in any way and it never did. I think this was probably my favorite episode of the Simpsons in years.

Best Halloween Episode Nominee
I'm gonna go ahead and say that this is the best Halloween episode of anything since one of the early seasons of Roseanne. I can't think of one that made me laugh as hard or as consistently, captured the spirit of the holiday as well or managed to include as many affecting character

For What it's Worth
I'm watching this. If it was added, I'd read those posts. It's become a fairly consistent B/B-

Todd, My Friend
What insane parties are you going to where everyone is chatting about Smallville and The Vampire Diaries all the time? I mean, at least now I'm prepared for this to happen, but still.

In Every Single Review of this Show I've Read…
The writer has used the phrase "have its cake and eat it too."

Julian Plenti
That Paul Banks solo record is my favorite Interpol-related album. This is the first time I've told anyone that. Also, Our Love To Admire was pretty good. Looking forward to this one despite this mediocre-to-shitty review.

I saw him on Scrubs. I'm not one of the people that mercilessly rip on that show in these comment boards all the time, but that guy is almost overwhelmingly unfunny. Like, when I watch the show by myself, I still get embarrassed when he's on screen.

I Could See Myself Watching This
If Josh Schwartz actually wrote it. Or if the Remember Me guy 9/11'd his characters in every single episode. As it stands, I'll probably stay away.

Seconded.

Hey, I'm with you! I was just wondering about these jokers.

Would you guys still like Clone High if you knew it was from the creator of Scrubs and Cougar Town?

I Met Her Recently
She was a really nice, laid back, down to earth lady. Bummer there aren't more comments on this excellent interview.

Meet the Deedles

I'd Like To Call Bullshit
David Goyer co-created the pretty-good CBS alien invasion show Threshold, which was planned to be three seasons (the second two being retitled Foothold and then Stranglehold), but was cancelled after less than one. This "trilogy" of movies sounds EXACTLY like that show. I think the dude just

Extract was good and Juno was pretty fun (yeah, yeah, I know) and his little bit in The Invention of Lying was great. That being said, The Ex might be the worst piece of shit I've ever seen and Couples Retreat wasn't much better. I really want to see this guy in good movies. But it isn't easy.

Ron Jeremy probably. I'm gonna hold out hope for Belladonna and Allie Sin too. And maybe Faye Reagan and Nikkie Rhodes. Ugh. I watch too much porn.

I like to take my time too. Sometimes I make a night of it. Don't judge me.
