Children Of Men, the book and the film. Light on the SciFi but heavy on the dystopia.

I'd count The Omega Man as sci-fi, but they had to go and screw it up by adding the happy ending. Shoulda just let the planet become 100% zombie-vampire.

I don't think you can even get the dubbed version any more. All the releases I know of have the original Australian soundtrack, or at least the ones in the past 5 years or so.
And you're right, Gibson did his own dubbing.

Discovering that show in my early 20s, about the same time as I discovered the glories of psychedelic drugs, was a wonderful thing.

I'm glad these reviews gave me a reason to watch the whole series. Saw the first two eps about a year ago but some family stuff popped up and I never got back to watching the rest. Sooo glad I didn't let the show slip by me.

I forgive myself for not having cable back then. And I give thanks for having Netflix now.
