Actually it's not even really ashes. It's almost entierly the dust from bones that have been put through a pulverizer. And it's that dust and chunks of bone that's given to the family because the ashes DO burn inside the furnace.

Well, I wouldn't suggest We're Alive. I somehow managed to get through their first season and then hated myself for wasting so much time on such amateurish crap.
