Split was an amazing record. Dreamy, ethereal, yet it didn't wallow miserably in sadness like the rest of shoegazer music of the era. Lovelife was a blunt bid for the britpop audience, but regardless, the album still had some solid and amazing cuts. I do remember listening endlessly to "500" back in the day.
