Yeah, I never really got the reverence for the first 2 Superman movies. I guess you had to be there.

I hadn't considered that until you mentioned it but yes, Man of Steel is definitely Snyder's best movie.

Wait, Sigourney Weaver was going to be in an X-Men movie? And wasn't because of Singer doing Superman Returns? Fucking hell.

Indeed.

Man of Steel doesn't suck.

I too greatly enjoyed MoS, certainly more than Superman Returns. I don't hate SR, I just find it kind of dull, really, and have no strong desire to see it again.

In hindsight

So letting Zod straight up murderfry that family would have been the more morally defensible action? Okay, I know it was a contrived situation, but given the circumstances as presented in the movie, snapping Zod's neck was the best option available to him.

@avclub-f5fc0943a2d597c869afec4103a54605:disqus Can't wait to hear then about the weak links in the S3/4 cast. (I don't think there's any in the S3 cast. S4 maybe.)

Yeah, that's a neat little interview. I have the R4 DVD's and I'm pretty sure it's on there as well. Their self-deprecating humor definitely comes through in the show.

Yes, agreed. You get the impression that Lexx's creators knew exactly how crappy a lot of it looked, but decided to go with it anyway (or otherwise didn't have much of a choice). I just love the whole cheap-ass, digital video, bad lighting look of the whole thing.

I've never really liked Picture If You Will. I tried to watch it again recently and was completely bored within the first 15 minutes. I dunno, the episode just seemed to have a pervasive tone of dullness about it. I'd actually consider it one of the worst Farscape episodes. Anyone feel similarly?

An interesting question that arises from this is how contemporaneous Minbari vessels fight each other, which must happen even if only infrequently.

@avclub-6d8e5be200a835beb77d899f00b890a5:disqus That does kind of raise the question of how @avclub-9ef2b3a0cbd8bc049616e0855bff05fb:disqus was able to walk around Psi Corp headquarters on earth without various teeps freaking out at the Shadows presence. Unless they just waited in the carpark.

Not just an actor, but a well-rounded person. With his own friends and credit cards and keys.

One other thing: I've always thought it cool that @avclub-9ef2b3a0cbd8bc049616e0855bff05fb:disqus 's name isn't mentioned by any character in relation to the leaked broadcast. We're just supposed to recognise it. And I imagine that Sheridan, at least, must have recognised it as well.

A few points:

Huh? What's your problem with this? Zombies have long been characterised as magic perpetual motion machines that don't actually need to eat. The best example of this is in Day of the Dead.

I love that the episode explicitly points out that Crichton's eyesight is strictly inferior to all the other Moya crew. I got nothing else.

Very good point about death of personality. It's worse than straight up execution. With execution you're taking one life. With DoP, you're taking one life and then creating a new life that will be forced to take a subservient role for the rest of its existence. (And I'd have to wonder why DoP'ed individuals don't get
