I also appreciate that Joshua Jackson does not have The Best Bod That Money Can Buy.  After a while, all the perfectly Sculpted By Jake(tm) torsos can get a little dull.  JJ is totally the cute, reasonably fit guy down at the corner bar who you'd be more than happy to bang.

What astonished me was that I didn't throw stuff at the screen when the Magic Negress came on.  Because she actually didn't turn out to really be one.  She wasn't this big All-Seeing Mysterious Wizard Mama after all.   I was so afraid that's what this character was going to be.  But she was actually human.

I haven't loved this season, and the Observer occupation scenario is seriously undercooked, but I am not inclined to feel supercritical at this point.  I have seen past beloved shows go into off-the-rails suckage during their final seasons, and folks, that ain't what's happening here.  Not by a long shot.
