We're doing Dr Seuss at work, so I'm going as Daisy Head Mayzie ( http://upload.wikimedia.org… ). Still haven't found a suitable dress though.

I've been doing mini-MST3k marathons and I'm planning to watch Hausu again. Also, I've been dressing pseudo-teen witch all month for the fun of it.

Ugh, yes. Especially to someone who follows fashion blogs and Lookbook.nu and all of that, the colorblocking bullshit got way old a long-ass time ago.

Yeah. I'm at the point where I end up buying 90% of my clothing at thrift stores, because after wandering around H&M for an hour it all looks like thrift store clothing anyway. Plus, thrift stores are cheaper, more ethical, and the vintage factor is way cooler. It's win-win-win.

Oh no, "Crockhead" sounds so, so right.

Or Zooey Deschanel. Same difference.

@avclub-d1dd537846e529e1101d7c23e170fe4b:disqus — small town/suburban thrift stores are where it's at. Big city ones are almost always picked over to death, but any reasonable suburban area will have several good thrift stores and between them you might find something decent.

I don't think Dr Martens makes shoes that fit my wonky feet. I have like three pairs in various sizes and none of them fit very well.

I just have calves that are proportionally too big for my body. At least it doesn't interfere with jeans shopping the way it used to.

Nice! I hate coat shopping so I just own like four different bizarre vintage coats and rotate them out. I hate the idea that I have to wear one thing over everything, all the time, always.

I avoid Old Navy (and The Gap, unfortunately) at all costs because the vanity sizing is so ridiculous. I'm a true size 4, anywhere from 26-28 in standard pants sizing, and I have to buy either a 0 or a 2 at Old Navy for them to fit the way they're supposed to be. Fuck that shit. What about the actually skinny people?
