I hated this movie until it occurred to me that it seems exactly like what you'd get if a bunch of stoners turned the events of their D&D campaign into a script. Then the stupider it was, the funnier it got; it all seemed like a big budget in-joke that I finally understood.

His cheating with Maggie isn't something he does to Brenda, but in spite of her; it has nothing to do with his feelings or lack thereof for Brenda. That's why he can

I didn't have any trouble reconciling the change in her character at all; after destroying her relationship with Nate, she recognizes that she's messed up and has no one to blame but herself. She behaves like a different character by the end of the series because she makes a genuine effort to become less egotistical

My high school boyfriend dragged me to see Titanic. My local newspaper gave it a bad review, so I was expecting crap, so I was pleasantly surprised at how compelling it was once the boat started sinking.

I also was surprised at how tolerable Twilight was. Billy Burke is pretty damn funny.

I didn't read the movie as quite so problematic because Carell's character sold his stuff in order to achieve a goal of his own, which was buying and managing his own store. It took his girlfriend's perspective as a business owner to give him the confidence to do that.
