Garrison Keillor!
What is wrong with that guy?

At the start of S2, I thought he was going to befriend the group and then work tirelessly to destroy them. I was kind of excited about that. Still get him in small doses, but give him some funny scheming to do every week.

It's part of the NBC plan to make it 1997 again, either through science or magic.

I wish Quantum Leap would get a reboot.

Todd, Episode 4 is really where it started getting good for me. It's when the mythology really takes a huge step forward and I started seeing the Spartacus that I thought could be the leader of an army. You were on the brink of awesome!

Started out watching it for a laugh, and by the end, was thoroughly hooked. In between, the plots and writing went from simply "orgiastic" to compelling.

So true, ZPowers. She bleeds bitchy. Not that it matters, but as a lady, I'm 99% sure I'd never want to be friends with her. Not JUST because I'd be jealous of the constant attention and men fawning all over her (while I lived out my quirky sidekick role), but because she just seems mean and like she'd turn on you in

AJR, you just gave Ron Swanson a semi.

Meh.

Oh God, Scrawler, "The Garage Door." That scene of Neil and the bike, trying the remote is burned in my memory as one of the most tragic scenes I've ever watched.

I laughed my ass off at Gloria tonight, especially "copecakes."

SPOILERS

Swifters, I just laughed so hard at your on-point description of Martin's food-writing drool that one of my coworkers came in to ask me what was so funny. Then, I had to try and explain.

Terrible commercials
Every time I see the commercials, I hate the whole movie a little bit more.

The Branch song adds nothing to the scene - her singing style, even stripped down, is jarring and takes away a lot of the intimacy of the scene. Then again, SPOILERS SPOILERS I feel the same way about the use of Sarah McLachlan in the S. 6 finale - the song is so distracting and it detracts, rather than adds from the

SPOILERS, YES. Smashed has Amy the recently de-ratted rat (Tom and Nicole! Larry the potential prom date!)! I love Amy and wish she'd been in S. 6 a bit more, to bring a little more edge to the proceedings. That alone, to me, makes it better than DMP, Wrecked, or Gone.

These are good points. In thinking about it, my not buying into Willow's display of emotion in OMWF has more to do with not believing that she's really invested in anyone else but herself at this point. Maybe I'm merging her way too much with (spoiler) late season Willow.

Ha, The UMD, so true re: the Buffy-Spike relationship. But then what would all the ''shippers do with their free time?

I love that you can very faintly hear Marti Noxon sing, "Hey, I'm not wearing underwear" at the end of the parking ticket song.

"Smile Time" is my go-to episode from not just Season 5, but the whole of AtS. My all-time favorite is "A Hole in the World," but that's just too damn depressing to be a go-to.
