Not the biggest Stanhope fan but the part of Beer Hall Putsch where he talks about this is one of the more darkly funny bits I've heard in a recent standup special.

I've only ever been able to find a handful of songs that really speak to me, despite the fact that Pavement is generally regarded as an albums band. "Zurich is Stained" is basically perfect, though.

I have two comments on this.
My dad, a smoker, often notes that the teachers lounges were as much about having a place to smoke as anything else when he started teaching middle school in the 70s.

Agreed with the reviewer that "Love is…" is the highlight of this album and arguably Lou's best song since "Lightning Bulb."

On a related note, After Tiller is legitimately one of the most worthwhile documentaries I've ever seen and I recommend it to everyone.

Yeah I was going to make this point as well… Trump is, depending upon whom you believe, 6'2 or 6'3. I'm 6' and my hands dwarf his. I do think this whole meme is a little ridiculous, although so is the story about him not being able to let go of that piece in Spy, so… I'm torn.
