I've only ever been able to find a handful of songs that really speak to me, despite the fact that Pavement is generally regarded as an albums band. "Zurich is Stained" is basically perfect, though.

My dad, a smoker, often notes that the teachers lounges were as much about having a place to smoke as anything else when he started teaching middle school in the 70s.

Hm. This subject matter is near and dear to me, but the way they're talking about it suggests that either a) they're going to be retreading the material already covered by When the Levees Broke, or b) they don't really get it.
On a related note, After Tiller is legitimately one of the most worthwhile documentaries I've ever seen and I recommend it to everyone.
