Did you guys see some special cut of Forgetting Sarah Marshall or something?

I'm kind of surprised that this was given such short shrift in the article. While I realize that it's not a masterpiece on the level of Taxi Driver or Goodfellas, I kind of feel as though this short doc should be added as #5 1/2 in the essential viewing recommendations.
@ Superdeformed — Is that Riddler stuff confirmed? Cause I could easily see Hardy playing the Riddler.
Don't get me wrong — I think the character is very well-written and well-developed, but a full-length book sounds incredibly depressing and monotonous to me.
What sort of masochist would want to read this???
Seriously… the Teasdale thing is mildly amusing for about 750 words per month, but anything beyond that sounds like pure torture.
Sorry. In retrospect, I realize that that was rather gratuitous.

I especially liked how she compared eating meat to rape — and then signed the petition of actors who were outraged about the treatment of St. Roman Polanski.
Oh, and I will also admit to enjoying curling. It's kind of entertaining once you get an idea of what's going on.
@ Brett - Well, that makes a little more sense. I haven't seen the ads; I just thought you found the idea that a developer of a contemporary war game sought the advice/opinions of contemporary soldiers. It didn't sound that weird to me…
Not sure why you found that so surreal, Brett. Medical shows on TV usually have doctors working as consultants; stands to reason that a video game about the military would have military consultants.
Are science fiction and heart mutually exclusive?
@ Where Did Alternative Go — I'm confused by your comment. I'm not exactly sure what you're saying, but you do say that "the damn broke with Nirvana; and that allowed in Dinosaur Jr., major label era Sonic Youth, and other bands".
I saw the Paves 3x in NYC on this reunion tour. They were really good and seemed to be in high spirits at all 3 shows I saw. I'm kind of glad now that I didn't try to make this Matador thing; their set-list was about 2/3 as long as the shows and sounds like there were all sorts of problems. Too bad…
Uhhh…the episode where Homer has his visions in the desert came out in '97. American Dad didn't even exist until '05.
I don't think they were trying to eat up time at all, E. Jim. I don't watch FG much anymore, but I do love pretty much anything in the mystery genre so I decided to watch it on Hulu last night. The full run time (on Hulu) was 49 minutes. Most hour-long shows are in the 41-43 minute range, so this show was actually…
I also liked the origin story in Batman Begins. I've never much gotten into Batman just because the concept/story/origin always seemed pretty asinine to me, but Nolan's version actually seemed semi-plausible.
No, Wes doesn't know what he's talking about.
Fiascos
In the wake of the Lost/Alias fiascos, I'm honestly not sure what it would take for me to start watching or become invested in ANY show helmed by Abrams or Lindelof or Cuse.
Seconded, Charley.
