Dobby from Peep Show? I might entertain the idea of watching that.

I'm not saying that anyone who thinks Hunger Strike is a good sketch has no fucking business professionally criticizing ANYTHING, let alone a comedy show.

As this thread is showing, I had absolutely no idea that anyone today feels that SPR is "a Very Important Film… spoken of in hushed whispers like a boy king or a revised edition of the Bible". (Hyperbole much, Pierce?)

I thought I was going to love both Inception and The Informant based on the trailers/cast/directors, but I was disappointed by both of them. I liked them all right, but neither of them hit that sweet spot that I thought they would.

Nope — I got extra just in case some of my other friends or gf wanted to go (which seems unlikely now) or just to make a little extra money. I'd like to see them go to a fan though.

That sucks, Idiotking. I got to see Radiohead open for them on that tour.

Where are you at, Loose Stool? I've got 2 extra tix for the NYC GBV show in November…

@ Keith P. — Yes! And no. It's very interesting if you're into GBV, but it's not the most well-written book in the world. There were a couple parts that seemed chronologically out of order, and a couple of parts that seem to contradict what the author has just finished describing. There are also bits that are just

In the GBV bio, 21 Years of Hunting Accidents in the Forests of Rock, the author actually spends an entire chapter just questioning Bob about the lyrics of about 30 random songs to see whether or not this is true. It seems to be; he cops to one or two of the songs not having much meaning, but he's able to give a

I'm a very big fan of the first two seasons; S3 is ok, but not as good. I'd definitely recommend the first two though.

I'm of the opinion that they just should have cut the sketch seeing as they were all apparently aware of how bad and tedious it was.

The other difference is that Clerks was made for approx $27K in 1994 dollars. Night of the Living Dead had a budget over $100K (in 1968 dollars) and Evil Dead had a budget of $350K (in 1980). So, while you're correct that there had been other low-budget success stories, Clerks was more of a micro-budget film.

Jesus…why'd I say Swardson? I meant Nick Offerman who plays Swanson, not Nick Swardson.

As someone who thought the first season of P&R was pretty much unwatchable, I watched quite a bit of the second season because everyone (around here, anyway; I don't know anyone who watched it IRL) keeps talking about how much better it got and how it deserved a second chance and had become the funniest show on TV in

@ Robuttnik — I've seen her in other stuff and I still think her acting was great in the first two seasons of Mad Men. (I kind of lost interest mid-way through S3.) I also don't buy the argument that she only seems like a good actor because the rest of the cast does such a great job. (That argument kind of doesn't

Actually it should be Lucy not Lacy — I hope they didn't get it wrong in the credits…

The couple advance previews I've read of it make it sound kind of like Uncharted. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Huzzah!
I finally got around to watching this show last night as one of my friends wrote this episode! (It's her first job in the biz and her first ep of anything on TV.) I thought it was very well done and am sort of encouraged to start watching the show full time — even though I had no interest prior due to what I

Actually, you're kind of on the money, KeptSimple. The character in the book is unresponsive and practically mute about 75% of the time. (In fact, I seem to recall several characters in the book just automatically assuming she was autistic or developmentally disabled upon meeting her.)

The thing I don't get about this whole K&L thing is that IO Interactive also makes the Hitman series of games which sell well, are well-received critically and have been successfully spun off (monetarily at any rate) into film. And, yet, they've apparently delayed work on the new Hitman title to make a sequel and a
