Almost talented? Come on, he's very talented. He just needs a writing partner, because he's not a very good editor of his own work.

You don't watch any Australian TV shows or films because Neighbours is shit?
Do people honestly not know this fabulous Prince song? Am I missing out on some deadpan irony?
We continue to produce such self-serious, pretentious dreck, year on year. I don't want to sound like a News Ltd journo or Paul Sheehan or whatever, but the unrelenting misery of the Australian film industry does itself a massive disservice.
Haha. Nice.
Never loved the music, but 24 Hour Party People remains my favourite movie, I think. Not saying it's the best, blah blah blah, but I fucking love it.
My aunt walked down the aisle to "Into My Arms" at her wedding. It was kind of funereal.
Yeah, Brits (and Australians and NZers) regularly say a lot of things in the workplace that I get the impression would land you in a fair bit of trouble in an American workplace.
Oh, and the 2nd clip is broadly representative of the quality of Australian TV.
Yeah, for a country of its size and with such distance between its cities, there is surprisingly little accent variation in Australia. There are tiny geographical differences, but nowhere near as pronounced as in British or American english. It's mostly just a question of thickness or broadness.
Yeah, I normally don't get particularly attached to directors, but I fucking love all the Winterbottom/Cotterell-Boyce collaborations.
Brian, it sounds like you would produce some really interesting, challenging work. Can you direct us towards some of your films?
Placeholder, the difference is this
2 Things
1) This was a really good piece. Thanks, Noel.
Stop! You're embarrassing me!
Hey, those baseball players all did a pretty good to excellent job, I reckon.
I kind of feel bad for Amy Chua that this is what will define her in a lot of people's eyes. She's written two quite good books about the role of minorities in economic and political history, but instead she'll be remembered for this idiotic book and her furious back-pedalling. I think she knows she made a mistake.
What I'm wondering: Why the emphasis on piano and violin, but the prohibition on other instruments, or on sports?
Yeah the guitar parts on Let Down are the fucking business. That's my favourite guitar arrangement in their catalogue.
@Yankee Deer:
I had to urban dictionary "butt rock", but You Am I are a fair distance from "Hinder, Creed, Matchbox 20, three doors down, avenge seven fold, ect. (sic)"
