I think there were non-main cast women in the show that were meant to be sympathetic. Say, Virginia, Stella (up until a certain point), Nora, Patrice… what you're saying did apply to a lot of one-time characters, though

I'm on team #HIMYMFinaleWasGood . It's lonely 'round these parts

I think you could say that Damon uses the Elena thing as an excuse to get out of actually having to navigate the world with moral responsibilities and having to work at relationships with other people, because that scares him to death. This is consistent with how he was always portrayed - you see him actually caring

This was strangely tender and touching for an episode that mostly revolved around sawing off people's faces and stitching them to other people's faces.

I actually see a resemblance between Maisie Williams and Jenna Coleman now that you mention it. I could get sold on her being Clara's teen self.

It is becoming a yearly ritual of mine to drink the tears of men disgusted at Bridget Everett

This is probably my second favorite episode of Girls so far, after the season one finale. Maybe it would be nice to see other characters get this kind of standalone episodes too. When we only see Hannah interacting with the rest of the characters, she comes off very self-absorbed and ignorant of other people's
