It IS quite out of character. The writers just used that to make Leonard angrier at Sheldon.

You are right. Maybe I was exaggerating on the continuity bit. It does exist and when they address it it's usually done really well. My problem here is… and it's something I'm usually not really good explaining, has to do with that little sentences you wrote at the beginning: "Sheldon has to deal with it". No, he…
I don't think Sheldon's problem was about convenience. If it was it wouldn't have been a problem AT ALL. Amy IS the perfect room mate. Sheldon wouldn't have to go to lengths to "educate" her. She is perfect to live with him. She was perfectly convenient. And yet he still didn't want to live with her.
Yes, actually but the director never put an emphasis on them and when he does people get surprised.
Ahh I see what you mean now. I think it was my ignorance here then. In my country is perfectly normal to hear a girl talk about comic books. Also the "nerd/geek" thing coming here is mostly by American influence, because otherwise people don't give a fuck what you do with your life to label you as something. Liking…
I don't understand, I was just merely talking about the bafflement people felt at Amy not being more open to comics when it has always been like that. Not the disappointment of the missed opportunity if she liked comic books. Or the redundancy of her indifference. I agree though, with the redundancy, but it was…
Yeah but I don't think the readers would have read DH. Also, everyone and their mom have seen that iconic wand-choosing scene.
False, it has always stated what she thought of comics books and was never afraid or hesitant to make it known to Sheldon. This was no different. Even after they started dating, Amy clearly mentioned Sheldon liking comics was "LAME'O".
Wasn't she just referring to Harry's wand choosing him, as said in the first book? Or, well, in the first movie?
*snorts*
I don't understand exactly how it is for actual "geeks" because I do not consider myself one (unless having read the HP books and liking them a lot counts, but what do I know) but I do know several girls that are real geeks and consider themselves real geeks and even study maths and astrophysics (no joke, I do know…
Yes, but my question is, when has he "used" those against them? As far as I know the only time has been well… this episode, where he blatantly used what he knew about the guys to get out of trouble, for his own benefit, which just blew up in his face.
I hate you and I love you.
Beg to differ but out of all characters, Penny is the only one who hasn't been a door mat. His insults do not move her, and his pleas fall on deaf ears. When she helps it's because she wants to, not because Sheldon made her, and when he helps her, it's because, weirdly enough, he wants to, not because he is obligated…
I also thought it was cute.
wtf?
But regardless of this episode, he has always being portrayed as an alpha. It just has been very recently that the characters don't put up with his shit, and that just strengthens the idea that everything in the sitcom was done revolving around him before. That we even noticed the slight chance, that we mention "the…
Hold on there, just an episode ago you wanted to refute my statement by saying Sheldon was very aware of the sex play between Amy and him, which constructs of a development that should have taken time to arise and DIND'T, and now you are saying it does take time to develop him as a person. If we go by your current…
