"I'm gonna see the folks I dig/I'll even kiss the sunset pig" Absolute classic. The little soprano crack in her voice on the very last "Take me as I ammmmmm…." on the fade-out is a gorgeous heartbreaker.

For all the bullshit she had to overcome (polio, pregnancy/adoption, early marriage and divorce, all before her debut album!) and deal with throughout her career (slut-shamed in the press, wtf Rolling Stone?) can you blame her if she went bitter?
You ARE loved. Help IS available, all it takes is a modicum of effort on your part. The fact that you're already acknowledging you need it puts you ahead of the game. Never feel bad about needing help, taking care of yourself is the best thing you can do.
Her mid-line giggles (like during " that ssssson of a bitch" in "Raised On Robbery") utterly charm me.
I love the "BAWK BAWK Chicken squawkin" part and the part where she admonishes herself for ripping off Shakespeare.
Now why you gotta go and do that?
"You go down to the pick up station
Craving warmth and beauty
You settle for less than fascination
A few drinks later, you're not so choosy"
Her first 2 albums are both fantastic. Could any song written almost 50 years ago be more relevant today than "The Fiddle and The Drum"?
For The Roses is weirdly overlooked in favor of the stuff that came right before and after it, but it's every bit as good as any other album in her classic 60s-70s run.
I was so happy to discover the all-around flawless music of this lady at age 23. It was during a period of dramatic upheaval in my life and it was EXACTLY what I needed. God bless her
Ok so here's my own Joni deep-ish cutty playlist (every song on here gets me, just gets me so fucking hard, every time):
"For all the losses we’ve suffered in 2016, we can take comfort in this: Joni Mitchell is still with us."
Do what everybody else does and just talk out of your ass with no prior knowledge
His name was Anton and he played Chekhov. That never registered with me before, for some reason. He was great in Charlie Bartlett and Only Lovers Left Alive. What a sad day. RIP
Victor Frankenstein — Max Landis is flat out fucking retarded. There are maybe 2 good scenes in this entire movie (the Frankenchimp and Igor's initial dehumpening) and the rest is a mess. There's no real characters, the plot is razor thin, it's paced like death and we're never given a clear reason to care whether any…
I loved "Looking Through Patient Eyes" and "I'd Die Without You" when I was a kid. I miss this early 90s rap era where the genre seemed to be trying out all these different things and having these growing pains trying to figure out what the next big sound was gonna be before Chronic came out and destroyed everything.…
YES. It is from the cover of their 2006 album "Coward", which is my favorite album cover of all time. It warms my little heart every time someone recognizes it.
Converge is THE prime example of a band who puts the attempted aggression, brutality, and heaviness of most metal bands to shame, without actually being metal themselves.
He has TWO books? Dad Is Fat was bad enough. He should've called it "Just Transcribing My Bits Verbatim".
Jucifer fucking ROCKS.
