Atonement — Pretty much just follows the book to a tee, which is fine, the book is great, but didn't seem to add much other than a wildly annoying typewriter-based score and an extra flashback or two. Emotionally it didn't do as much for me as the book, and I never really felt the heat that makes you think "Oh, these

Ya better off tryin a fly a kite in a firefight!

Too bad the opening POV tracking shot in Black Christmas did it so much earlier and better. The rest of Halloween is definitely a better movie though

Who knew Grindr would turn out to be so useful?

How DOOM hold heat and preach non-violence?/Shh, he bout to start speech, c'mon, silence

I'm fine with MCU taking the reins on X-Men (they made Spider-Man more enjoyable in 10 minutes than any of those previous films ever had in 5 tries) as long as they keep them the fuck away from the Avengers. "Oh we need to see Hulk fight Wolverine" no we don't, fuck that.

The worst thing about Mystique being so central in these films is that she's the only important female character, so she has to play love interest/weird sexual chemistry/potential soulmates with no fewer than three male characters (Magneto, Prof X, Beast). Seeing her throw herself at seemingly every man who would look

Actually, last week's montage of everybody watching The Day After now seems like a missed opportunity to break out "Two Suns In The Sunset". Maybe that's more of a finale song.

Kate and Edith!

Spot fucking on. Pynchon never met an intriguing development that he couldn't abandon in favor of 8 or 9 different branch-off tangents that also lead nowhere.

But does it take place on Christmas for no reason?

Stop, there's only so much sheer ecstasy I can handle.

Hell, for half a second I thought we were about to get a glimpse of MARTHA in Cuba or something. I hope we never do.

To say "Paige is distrustful and worried" is understating things to the point of not grasping the full impact of those scenes. For the first time, she outright accuses her parents of MURDER, taking it a step further from her previous interrogations of them. They also had never openly discussed the possibility of

Even if they gave him some cover story, Stan would still know something was up. Stan's gon' Stan!

The Oleg/Tatiana scenes are the only times where the sex on this show feels gratuitous to me. We know so little about Tatiana as it is, I don't think it benefits either character to have the first time we learn anything about her to be during covert Residentura fuckfests. She's quiet during sex? O…k.

People undervalue character development so much. I don't understand it.

Would the FBI even release any details of Gaad's death? Seems like it'd be classified.

Man, I can't imagine binging this entire show all in one go. It puts the viewer through such an emotional wringer week in and week out that those little breaks in between episodes/seasons actually feel merciful. With most shows I can't wait to get them over with, but with this one I have no problem letting it breathe

Can we have more interviews like this, please? This was awesome.
