THANK YOU. I had the strongest intuition that that voice had to be Paul.

Sometimes I doubt your commitment to 80s synth-pop.

I can never keep myself from quoting Homer's superior lyrics.
Everybody look at your pants!

Gaffigan is a good comic and all, but I'm a bit confused by the choices for comedy coverage. Arguably more famous comics like Patton Oswalt and Louis CK have gotten odd coverage, while slightly lesser-known folks like Gaffigan get reviewed (again, not to diss him or anything). Patton Oswalt's last special got reviewed

This record is sorely underappreciated. One of the finest albums of the 90s, no joke. It's not anything revolutionary, but as far as solid pop rock, you can't do much better.

I've been giving A's to almost all of the episodes so far (I'm grading on a curve), but "Roger Ebert…" is one of the show's worst, IMO. The Cheesy Poofs song and "plane'arium" are pretty much the only funny parts. But yeah, Clubhouses is basically perfect.

Another interesting poll would be "best link/short sketch", but that one will undoubtedly be so contentious and hard to decide it's not really even worth it.

So, any of you agree with me that this has to be one of the best, most confident first seasons ever? I guess because most first seasons are all over the place, but since that was Monty Python's forte, it fit perfectly.

I have a feeling nobody's commenting on this thread only because it's so impossible to choose. I know that's the only reason I haven't commented… oh. Crap.

I'd still like to hear anyone's theories or knowledge on what type of humor Idle contributed to the group, alongside Cleese/Chapman's literary lunacy, Palin/Jones' conceptual whimsy, and Gilliam's absurd animations. Was Eric more of a traditionalist, writing one-liners? Or perhaps he contributed the occasional crude

I've always thought it was roughly a cartoon parallel to Twin Peaks, which is by no means an insult.
