@avclub-ef062084a1c4a3584af1d4f8e514ea50:disqus has got it there. It's all about the sauce. And THAT sauce specifically. McD's BBQ sauce in the little square tubs is similar, but not quite the same.

That's a theory that's been presented, but it's been shown to be tenuous at best. Actual franchisees have said that they just don't sell as many near the end of the limited run as they do at the beginning. Not enough, I guess, to justify the extra storage space and whatnot needed to have it year round.

As has been noted below, it's really all about the BBQ sauce. I've had a variety of McRib clones and none of them are the equal of the original due to that fact. You can come close by covering the store bought ones with the BBQ sauce that they have for McNuggets or whatever, but it's still not the same. Something…

Having admittedly never tasted one, your sanctimonious comments are immediately invalidated.

God dammit avclub for putting the thought in my head & McDonalds for being bastards. I would right this minute give up every bit of the turkey, potatos, cornbread dressing, etc that I ate today and all of it that I'll eat over the next few days for just one single McRib.

McRib.
McRib.
Absolutely funnier in the original form. It's natural and organic. The wording in Modell's edited version is just trying a little too hard.

I absolutely did. I've noticed a hint of it here and there so far, but it was coming on pretty strong in a few scenes in this one.

Point: "Like a boss" is the stupidest slang phrase/word of all time.

You mean, except for Simpsons quotes, right?

We called them floods back when they were just a sign that you were poor and had to wear hand-me-downs that didn't really fit you. Now it's just a sign that you're willing to spend the tips you earn as a barista on EXPENSIVE clothes that don't fit.
