We called them floods back when they were just a sign that you were poor and had to wear hand-me-downs that didn't really fit you. Now it's just a sign that you're willing to spend the tips you earn as a barista on EXPENSIVE clothes that don't fit.

Yeah, for me this has been a physical purchase for years now. If I even bother to check the new series out, it'll only be as an illegal download. Hell, I can't even really see myself doing that.

During the credits I was fervently praying that he'd say, "Ha! I Landoed you man!" when he inevitably did so. But he didn't. Which is yet another reason why this show sucks.

I concur. The four episodes starting here and ending with "Dogs of War" next season are my favorite 4-episode run of TV ever. I really wish they woulda extended Goodman's presidency another couple of episodes.

I'm a little late to this discussion, as I forgot that avclub was doing Copper, so I've just caught up tonite. May be that no one sees this before we've moved on to the next episode, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyways.

Yeah, I can't see how she doesn't. They've been setting it up so hard that it'll be lame if it's just a fake out.

Yeah. "As a child of the suburbs—albeit one who takes solace in the fact that I
lived the first five years of my life in Manhattan—I loathe them with a
fiery passion" may be about the douchiest thing I've read on here in a while.
