I've been thinking about rewatching the first season and this interview just made it a done deal.

Oh my God!!!
He was in STAR WARS!!! And he' going to be on TV!?! That's AWESOME!!!

I just finished rewatching Lucky Louie this week
I have to say that I still love Lucky Louie, and I like his new show just fine (though not as much), but the stand-up is where he's really a genius. I think he's the best stand-up working today. His parenthood stuff is transcendental.

Safeguard that snark-free corner of your soul, Rowan. Keep it secret, keep it safe. Don't let the AV Club consume you.

@Rowan: I didn't see the broadcast version, but I can definitely vouch for the Hulu version containing many jokes (with a better than 50% success rate), an entertaining story, a fun dream sequence, and guest stars who added humor to the episode instead of taking it away.

I may be showing my age here, but anyone who says "when I was a kid" when referring to Everybody Loves Raymond is still very much a kid.

I just got around to watching it on Hulu and came on here expecting a glowing review. I don't get all the hate, I really thought that was a great episode. I've been watching the Simpsons since it debuted and I freely admit that it's nowhere near as good as it used to be, but I really enjoyed this episode.

I can't believe someone beat me to this quote. This is why I love this site.

At least they have their wigs and microwaves to fall back on.

6+ hours later and I still haven't seen another suggestion that comes close. My vote is definitely for "The Geek Chorus".

Yep. It's kind of anti-climatic, but fastandsloppy got it.

@EliB: Sure, sure. You're absolutely right, but it seems like enough to me that it's not coincidental. Either way, I still love both movies and I don't honestly think the Coens had any ill intent.

That whole boardroom scene (and the main plot of the movie as well) is either an homage to Putney Swope or just outright theft.

That's all well and good, but I would like to hear some opinions about the Gilliamicity of this film.

Terry Gilliam
Whenever I'm trying to sell this movie to skeptical friends I describe it as "a Terry Gilliam movie as told by the Coen Brothers."

Because the hot ones are usually stupid, too.

How appropriate that the Kat Dennings article is in the Recycler-O-Matic.

That was the first thing that jumped out at me in this write-up. I don't normally jump on the bandwagon of people ragging on Nabin about these minor fuck-ups, but for a column aimed at Simpsons geeks this is definitely a pills-in-jellybeans level error.

@Shan: I always assumed that they shared the same prosthetic forehead.

I was implying that The Cape is the last show in the cycle seeing as it will most definitely be off the air before any potential Firefly resurrection is even in the planning stage.
