A friend coerced me into watching that movie and I was sure it was going to be terrible but it's actually a damn good parody of the typical sports movie/karate kid genre.

Yeah, when I was watching it last week with my girlfriend it really caught me off guard so I wasn't able to feign disinterest. Well worth the dirty look.

I don't think it's terrible, but I'd still rather read about Community for a half-hour and have it on quietly in the background than engage with the show. It's completely forgetable.

Timing
Todd, please continue posting this during Perfect Couples so I have something to kill the time until the Office.

Chunnel
Whenever I see a preview for this movie it reminds me of a Seinfeld fake movie like Chunnel or Mountain High.

Right again, Todd.
The Joel and Julia dynamic was my favorite part of the episode. Great acting from both of them with some nice, subtle humor.

Which was also at a family get-together. This definitely reminded me of that, in a good way.

I think Roseanne needs to make her own network as a rebuttal. Though I suppose the argument could be made that YouTube is created of, by, and for those poor people who have access to the necessary equipment.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to mention TNN. Six minutes. Not bad, HPM.

Eat the Rich
Fuck this. Where's the channel devoted to poor people's lifestyles? I suppose if it were an accurate portrayal it would mostly consist of footage of poor people watching rich people on TV, though.

He's great, but I still want to see some love for Dean Norris.

Breaking Bad
better be getting an Oscar somehow after getting passed over at all these other awards shows (unless you count the Emmy's). I watch WAY too much TV and that was still the best season of a drama I've ever seen. Recognize.

Murphy Brown Reboot!!!
Not really. But sort of.

I still love Community, but I can now safely say that when the herd needs to be culled I would rather Parks and Rec was still standing. This is assuming it has to be one or the other.

The more I think about it, the better a Quantum Leap reboot sounds. The biggest problems with the show were its late 80s/early 90s trappings. A less formulaic, more serialized, and less corny version with the same premise could actually be good. Unfortunately it would probably be on NBC, in which case Fuck It.

I would watch a Quantum Leap reboot. But it's not like the original ever did that well in the ratings.

"Ladies and Gentlemen…
…Scott Bakula from Quantum Leap!"
Best line of the night.

Chia Mr. T
Where does one get a Chia Mr. T? Is it only available to Level 5 Hipsters?

Yes.

PBS love
I just want to say "thanks" to the AVC for highlighting all these great PBS shows lately. If it wasn't for you guys I'd forget that there is still one good station on basic cable.
