That's the other thing, I always root for the underdog.

Unrelated Meta-Comment
I may be behind the times, but I just discovered that you can now comment on Onion stories…sort of. I just "Became a fan" of the Onion on Facebook and now every time they post something it shows up on my newsfeed and people comment on it. Unfortunately those comments are mostly mono-syllabic,

Pasties are delicious, but you've got to drown them in gravy or ketchup. As for the broomball comment, I don't get it. Is that supposed to be a UP thing? Is this a stereotype about my region that I'm unaware of?

John Candy
After all these years John Candy is still one of the celebrity deaths that really makes me sad. I'm not sure why that is, but I suppose I kind of grew up with him between SCTV, the John Hughes movies, Spaceballs, etc. More than that, though, he just seemed so genuine, like you really got to see who he was

I was kind of confused about that, too. When it first came out I was interested in seeing it because I'd heard Moore was somehow involved and then it was like he took his name off it, I never saw him mentioned in anything else I read regarding the movie so I started to think I imagined his involvement.

The Canuck-American War
I'm not sure what side I'd be on. I love the USA, but I was born in Canada and I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan which in many ways has more in common with Canada than with the rest of the US. If the US will supply me with free health care it might win my allegiance.

Thank you, Nabin, for giving me the words to describe how I feel about Moore. I've always defended his work, but the guy really does get on my nerves sometimes. I think if more people were familiar with TV Nation and the Awful Truth they'd cut him some slack. The former blew my young mind and was the first time I

I think it's unlikely, but what I'd really like to see is Tony use that canister to go after the guys who were really behind Michelle's death aka the illuminati guys in the boardroom with Jack's brother. It's really the only thing that would make sense to me in explaining his motivations.

Give him a break…
I know I lose my shit whenever anyone brings up my food-service past.
GET IT THROUGH YOUR FUCKING HEADS, I'M IN RETAIL NOW!!
The nerve of some people.

I'm actually an extinct marsupial. I said so on an internet message board.

Nevermind. Got it the second I hit "Post".

@ET: I still don't get it. Please explain.

Back in the saddle again
Late to the party as usual, but I have to state for the record that 24 has officially won me back big time. When it hurt me last season it was going through some tough times and…Look, you just don't understand our relationship! 24 told me it was sorry and it really means it this time! I just

Hit me baby one more time.
Okay, it's not as much of a phoenix as 24 is this season, but Heroes is starting to win back my trust. It really does seem to be taking the cue from comic books whereas we should just ignore some of the embarrassing story arcs of the past and concentrate on the (surprisingly good) current

Moody Blues, Motherfucker!
I'm not about to read through ALL the comments, but I'm very disappointed if no one mentioned "Days of Future Passed". I love the Moody Blues no matter what, but this is by far the one album I'm familiar with that MUST be listened to in its entirety. I like the singles, too, but it's not the

Is it my computer or did we just break the AV Club?
I've got millions of these, they're my lifeblood, but the first thing that popped in my head was the scene from Weeds where Uncle Andy talks to Shane about masturbation. My friends and I force every person we meet who hasn't seen it to watch it and we haven't had one

I could do a whole piece just on MST3K/Rifftrax moments that are guaranteed to make me laugh every time.

Absolutely not attempting the thing that gets you canceraidsfire, seriously.
but this is the first time I've actually felt compelled to watch every video clip for an article. Perfect antidote to last week you weepy bitches!

I read somewhere that those have been linked to birth defects.

Groening's Role
I was hoping to see a question about what exactly his role is on The Simpsons these days. I imagine he's somewhat distanced himself over the years, but really I have no idea just how much of the show is really his anymore. I think it was in his interview on here that Mike Judge admitted that he really
