My point is that when people itemize why they hate Janice, they usually wind up listing characteristics which Tony also possesses in spades. And there's a big difference in acknowledging a character is supposed to be annoying/hated to the characters on screen as opposed to finding that character too annoying to watch.

Wait… how is that not ambiguous?

I've always seen a bit of misogyny in the fandom's dislike of Janice because…
Janice + power - granola = Tony.

He never pressed for Tony's identity. Melfi let it slip, to which Elliot replied, "I always thought it was that other guy…"

Gillian didn't exactly *let* Gyp's men shack up at the house. They took over in a flash, & she and Tommy became their hostages. Also, Gyp outweighs her by, what, sixty or seventy pounds at least? There's no way she could've choked him by force with him at full strength. But if she debilitates him with some lovely,

I was pleased to see how many disparate subplots revealed their ultimate purpose &, in some cases, set us up for next season, But the one thing I still can't figure is Van Alden. Why hasn;t he been written off the show? He's just hanging there like an appendage.

I think you've missed the entire point of the article which was not intended as list of the best episodes but rather which episodes most define the series' essence & evolution.

Ongina & Shangela should've been there over Mimi & Tammie. Nina's usual futuristic runway fierceness was muted by her pairing with Tammie's camp retro schtick. Ongina Flowers would have been a far more interesting team. Shangela could've paired with Pandora & shone as a comedic duo.

I looks as though it read "not afraid of comets," but I can't make sense of that.
