Sansa was never made aware of those specifics. Ned & Cat (and perhaps later Robb) were the only Starks privy to that information. Ned shielded her from quite a bit, advising her only to be generally on her guard. The only particular intrigues Sansa knows are those regarding the so-called treason of her brother's war &

I wouldn't say that Varys doesn't like anyone. He seemed to like Ned, & I believe that he is growing to like Tyrion as well. He's simply not the type to allow his affections to interfere with his self-preservation. He's similar to Tyrio in that regard but moreso because, as a gelding, there's no little head to muddy

The i09 review (written by a book reader & always very accurate) confirms that   it was a knight of the Kingsguard. My guess is that it was done on Cersei's orders.

Littlefinger explicitly lays out the the benefits of a Lannister alliance with House Tyrell when he visits Tywin. It was intended as surprise, but it's not exactly out of left field. They both had a shared enemy in Stannis & Margaery wishes to be Queen. It will be interesting to see if & how she takes Sansa's place as

I was saddened to see that Sansa is unable to recognize the kindnesses Tyrion has extended her & instead chooses to lump him in with the rest of the Lannisters. That comment she made about praying for his safe return just as she would Joffrey's… cold.

Cersei instructed Sansa to write a letter to Cat & Robb, directly after Ned's imprisonment but prior to his execution. The letter is the reason Robb formed his army in the first place.

@olivececile:disqus  Maybe she's Melisandre in disguise.

We know Tyrion has a soft spot for whores. They have likely been the only women in his life that don't shun him as a half-man. His love, I think, is understandable. But Shae is a prostitute & though she might approximate affection, the value of any relationship is determined largely by what a john does for her. It's

He recognized her for sure. But I don't think he'd intentionally endanger her since one of his primary raisons d'etre is gaining the love & affection of Cat Stark.

In the GoT universe, incest babies don't become hemophiliacs but they do go mad.
Joffrey's personality & that of many Targareyns is attributed to incest.
