"Probsty [which is what I assume Tyler Perry's pet name for him is], how about an idol that has to be played BEFORE people cast their votes".

I just like to bring it up when I can. For the lulz. And the stack of greenbacks.

The possible counter is that we feel like Trish is doing everything right, and maybe she is, but the jury ends up treating her like Fishbach. But Tony is no JT, so I think we're okay there.

Worst jury look:
LJ without the hat or Colby without the stubble?

Probably not. Because the majority alliance always gets too comfortable and focuses on food anyway.

The possible exception is if Spencer/Tasha win the final 6 immunity. THEN Tony might've been targeted, and THEN the idol protects him.

I'm guessing even recruits watch a season or two, which is probably all you need to realize that letters from home is a thing.

Sure, it sounds like a bad idea. But just wait until you receive a text from Tyler Perry suggesting the idea to you. THEN it'll sound awesome.

Not only do they not know he has it, they don't even know what "it" is. So hard to plan for it at all.

You're not crazy at all. Trish is playing very, very well. She's probably playing the best traditional Survivor game out there. It'll be interesting to see what happens when it's stacked against Tony's flashier, decidedly untraditional game.

You may be right, but I think people on the island will be inclined to give him credit, even if Trish is the true power. They are currently.

The best will be if people end up feeling threatened by someone's fake profession: "I'm not a professional athlete, I'm a former Marine".

Maybe it'd have to also be a men vs women season.

You're starting to convince me. Sarah, Morgan, LJ, and Jefra would all easily be in play for Trish. She'd probably have the advantage for all four.

I think your like of Spencer is pretty obvious: you don't like the personalities of those in power, and thus are rooting for the underdog on the other side. It's not all the complicated.

Tony's side losing the reward was actually the better outcome for him. As you say, either way Jefra is isolated, but at least this time, he got time to look for the idol. If the edit is to be believed, he didn't find it during the reward, but at least I imagine he was able to rule out some locations.

At this point, it's more than luck. We all (well… you all) need to recognize that Tony is a new archetype that we just don't know what to do with. And frankly, neither do the players on the island. They're operating under the same delusion that he's the type of player who can't win, and are getting burned each time.

It would be nice to have someone else who has actually seen all of Survivor.

#phrasing

It would be the best if someone spent all their money on an immunity clue that points them to an empty hole.
