"Head cocked to the left, partial deafness in ear: first point of attack. Two: throat- paralyze vocal chords, stop scream. Three: got to be a heavy drinker- floating rib to the liver. Four: finally, drag in left leg, fist to patella. Summary prognosis: unconscious in ninety seconds, martial efficacy quarter of an hour

I love Without a Clue, a nice sideways "what if?" parody. I still get a chuckle just thinking of how Watson (Ben Kingsley) proudly introduces himself as "The Crime Doctor" only to be causally blown off and not taken seriously by everyone.

Nicely put. I would ask, if I may continue with your line of thinking, is there a point where as you grow as a person, you outgrow the baby food, and actually reach a stage that you don't even need it anymore?

I always liked the way muttered "You son of a bitch" towards the end of Teachers.

Agree 1000%. North Dallas Forty is a personal fave and one of his best.

Oh yeah, Lindsay is definitely a "have your cake and eat it too" person and also can't rationally think anything through. I'm not even sure Lindsay knows what she wants from moment to moment, because she is so easily influenced by what everyone else is doing.

I knew that voice sounded familiar. Good catch. Falk clearly loves these little continuity nods.

The Lido Shuffle makes everything better…

I don't really think she wants to drive him away, because she wants to be taken care of (remember, this is a woman who didn't know how to cash a check.) Maybe I'm nuts, but I do think, on some level, somewhere, Lindsay does like Paul. Oh man, but she stabbed him! Sigh, I can't truly make much sense of this.

It all started (in the US at least) when unleaded gas came along. They didn't want you putting leaded gas in unleaded tanks, so they started making the holes in the tanks smaller than the leaded nozzle, and made the unleaded nozzle small enough to fit the unleaded tanks. Leaded gas was fazed out eventually, but diesel

I just knew that when Paul finally told Vernon what was going on Vernon would think it was the coolest thing.

Oh yeah, I don't doubt it's possible, but it would be highly improbable, especially with a new car, which Paul has. As far as plot conveniences go, it's super minor. The bigger question is, why would you drive 2 hours to buy a used bassinet? Vernon really wanted to get out of the house, I know, but you'd think Becca,

I wonder if we're leading to some sort of epiphany where Lindsay realizes all this sex is not really making her happy. That or one of her cucking trysts will turn dark.

Vernon taking bullets out of drug lords and Paul being their accountant is a pitch that writes itself.

I dug Linsay's cameo:

I see where you're coming from. Other shows would most likely make this a b-story and just cut back and forth from this to the A-story and have them stuck in the woods for a couple episodes. I give Falk credit for just thinking, "if we're going to do it, let's just do it all out," and give these two guys their own ep.

Vernon is priceless, isn't he?

"Come on! We're men, out in nature, away from the sisters Cottumaccio."
"Ugh, what a sonically displeasing last name."
"Isn't it? They're lucky to take our dope-ass names."

"We had fame and fortune. Now all we needed was the approval of record company lowlifes."
