taking out the female characters for a show that celebrates strong and well-developed female characters i don't know whether to laugh or cry

i'm going to miss that demon chick whose soul purpose was to remind us all how hot castiel is.
like we need a reminder, really.
i pretty much agree with everything eric said. i have a pretty intense love/hate relationship but after last season i expected things to change a little. even their momentary break up is

NO THANK YOU

oh no, they were.

i'm so excited i think i may have peed a little

i wish i was full of whiskey right now, though.

this is making me insane
(more insane)

TOO SOON

oh i liked a little slice of kevin

i hate the episode a lot less after sleeping on it. no longer being full of whiskey helps, too(i guess.)
but i still think this episode was in the B- range. too much going on, too fast and written sloppy. they basically killed kevin just to do it after stringing his character along and doing about a fraction of what

"Anytime something bad happens to a female character we get lengthy
article about it, a low grade, and a bunch of "yeps" from the hive mind."
you cannot be serious right now, can you?

these comments are all me. for some reason i was logged in using my non-av club disqus account? idek what's going on right now

i'm laughing and crying in equal measure

how about no
(this comment is obviously about kevin)

totally agree on amelia being a missed opportunity

lol amelia

i mean it's like anything—it can be what you make of it.

But I'd like the show to treat the hookups with enough respect that they
seem like fully fleshed out human beings if they're actually going to
be characters and not just briefly glimpsed waitresses or something.
right? a little less "warm hole dean can stick it in" and more "actual fictional character with

this is true.
but it has been nearly 2 seasons since his last hookup(mid-season 7 if memory serves) and i was hoping for a little something more out of dean.
especially given all the progress he's made forming relationships outside of the familial as of late(benny, charlie, kevin, cas.)

i think this was more true in the past but not so much now.
it's probably wishful thinking on my part.
