I'm catching up - but at the moment my theory is that Avery died and that he's a ghost who is acting as everyone else's conscience.
I don't think I fully buy Jeremy easily getting subdued that way. Not since it seems McQueen apparently gains a stone of muscle every episode.
Much better - things seem to start sliding into place, and the characters are slowly forming personalities and developing longer term conflicts with each other (which hopefully means the family feel queezy stuff at the start of the season will pay off).
I almost was expecting them to suddenly set up an Interpol version of White Collar-POI spin-off with Lin and Bouchard in that one scene near the end.
I'm kinda wondering if the Lamar/Tandi scene was put in last minute when they realised the rest of the episode was a few minutes short and that they'd completely forgot about them….
I agree on this — considering Gunner was supposed to be a "good-guy" with an air of naivety in him. Perhaps it may have been better for him to be all "hey, I like you but don't *like* you."
