He does sample quite a few older artists. Going by the "thank you's" inside the Night Ripper cd, he's sampled Abba, Aerosmith, Boston, Chicago, Phil Collins, Fleetwood Mac, Genesis, Al Green, Hall & Oates, Honey Drippers, Jefferson Airplane, Elton John, Kansas, Madonna, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Paul McCartney,

Check Your Head > Paul's Boutique
I'm pretty sure no one is going to agree with me on this one. They're both great albums, I just prefer CYH for its blatant genre hopping.

No "Lips Like Sugar?"
Or even "Our Lips Are Sealed?"

If it's a mix-tape for an ex, "Do You Still Hate Me?" would be appropriate.

I'll see your "Time After Time" and raise you "I Drove All Night."

A Review from a Fan of the Series
I just came back from a midnight screening of the remake and, as a fan, it was pretty good. I'd say it rates better than Part II but not as good as Part VI. This Jason has a little more personality, can't say the same for a majority of the victims (though they are more entertaining

Everybody jumped all over the first commenter, but Roger Ebert really did give the remake two stars. He says it's as good a Friday the 13th movie as anyone could expect, which is a helluva lot of praise from him. Siskel must be spinning in his grave.

I'm also a fan of the series, my favorite being Part 1, but my favorite sequel is Part V. It's fun in a dark and mean-spirited way. It has some of the most ridiculous kills (road flare in the mouth, anyone?). I could care less about the killer not being JV (for some reason this irks people, but it's still a dude in

The Sensual World is my favorite of Kate's albums (actually, one of my favorite albums of all-time), but I have a real soft spot for The Red Shoes.

Best Commentary Track for a TV Series
The Simpsons, of course.

@ Karatloz:

I watched Chocolate tonight and, yup, it's totally bad ass. Rainman meets Ong Bak. The plot (plot?) is purely disposable, but half the movie consists of the autistic girl kicking a lot of ass. She even takes on an autistic dude towards the end.

Agnosticism > Atheism
Either way, you get to sleep in on Sundays.

In the Air Tonight Acoustic?
Does it still have that awesome drum breakdown? I'm guessing not.

My Name is Bruce
Wow, I just watched My Name is Bruce tonight. It's good, rather goofy and silly, certainly has more than its fair share of groaners. But it does have a mess of decapitations, a demon with a thing for tofu, and Ted Raimi playing three roles. It's definitely an improvement over his directorial debut,

The 1000 Homo DJs cover of Supernaut is sick as fuck. Otherwise, everybody should leave Sabbath alone.
