To say nothing of an understanding of how poverty is often a cycle that is hard to break free of.

And I think that it was a step that understood the American public more than Bernie seemed to. If there's one thing that ACA has shown, it's that the public overall is less welcome to change in healthcare and will fight against their self-interest, even though ACA overall was pretty great at getting more people the

Bless those who work in pediatrics! And don't sell yourself short about that pediatric patient, it was a good thing.

I didn't even know that until recently, but once I found that out I can't understand how anyone couldn't see that.

I am peripherally involved with the industry and it's frustrating to see how much $ is put before all. And pharma pricing has annoyed me since I was a teenager and reading about people unable to afford the HIV cocktail.

We need to kick our puritanical morality vis a vis the poor and helpless to the curb and we needed to do it yesterday.

He's the one talking over a keg about fucking over the poor after all.

Of course they forget that eventually those people rise up in very violent ways and kill those in power (true they eventually turn on themselves as well…but at least in the beginning…).

**cough, cough**

I cannot believe that we still think that running healthcare like a business is the way to do things. We pay sooo much more for care that is often at the same level as countries where the cost of healthcare is far, far less. If we can't have a single-payer system, then we need to at least drive down the cost of care.

Look I'm not the one crapping on people for having a reaction to something, who has decided to come to a place to discuss said thing just to be a jerk. Maybe take a look at yourself before casting aspersions on people.

I'm moved by this. I'm moved by Beethoven's Ninth, Keats's Ode to a Nightingale, Kurosawa's Ikiru, Van Gogh's Starry Night among many, many pieces of art that have touched me. We are nothing without art, in all of its forms, because it's the best of us.

I'd welcome doing what they do in Britain where they rotate every 10 years. It'd allow more people to be highlighted and would cut down on counterfeiting, which is one of the reasons for their rotating images.

Ok, I sorta love those guys. That's a great way to doing it.

Ok, you're right. I guess that I just keep hoping that I'll wake up and discover that we're living in the timeline where HRC won.

And yet we still honor him with the $20 (for now…honestly I think when the new 20s come out that he should just be completely removed). He's a truly crap president.

While praising Andrew Jackson..who is just the worst.

True, the procedure that she almost certainly had would likely only lead to physical problems that would only impact Emily, which feeds into the idea that they only care about the fertility, not the woman. Of course even the best surgeons in the world can have a surgery that ends in complications.

Like I am neutral about Kelly, but couldn't they just keep doing the rotating host thing that's been going on for the past 8 months?

And how they almost always mean the opposite of what they're called…. Orwellian doublespeak really did sneak up on us.
