To be fair, I think he's only still popular on KFMA. I'm sure his interview was bookended between the Offspring and Dynamite Hack.

If you were to include The Crow (I would), it'd be more of a trend than a fluke.

My fingers are crossed for the new Horse Feathers. Hopefully more "House with no Home" than "Thistled Spring".

    Cutter?
Anyone else recognize Cutter (the slender gun man that shoots the other gentleman in the back at the beginning)?

Thanks for the sympathy. "Celebrities forcing their way into your line of sight all the time" is more or less the phenomenon to which I was referring when I said "overexposure".

    Frankly…
I'm tired of Franco. Tired of hearing about his simultaneous enrollment in 3 Masters programs, his books in publication and myriad of projects. At this point, I find it hard to believe that he's not getting by on name recognition, alone (did I really need to say that?).

I think Kids in Philly and Let's Cut The Crap And Hook Up Later On Tonight are neck and neck - I couldn't say which I like more. Float Away totally derailed Marah and I don't think they ever found their trajectory again. 20,000 Streets…, If You Didn't Laugh…, etc. sound like a band trying to sound like the old Marah.

    Scud Mountain Boys
Followed by Big Tobacco and then Chappaquiddick Skyline. I've tried the rest and these are the best of them. Holy shit, though, Scud Mountain Boys. Pine Box and Dance The Night Away have been the soundtrack to every Winter for the last several years for me.

"Home" is the single scariest television episode I have ever seen. The Mutated Peacock brothers, and when Mulder & Scully wheel out Mrs. Peacock on the creeper from under the bed - HOLY SHIT.

    28 Days Later
I wasn't entirely satisfied with the conclusion. Once they got out of the City, it was far less scary.

I love the Blair Witch Project. I've always maintained that anyone that didn't find it at all scary had a) never been camping and b)had no imagination whatsoever.

I can't get behind the voice. I tried I'm Wide Awake and Cassadaga. I really like the songs/instrumentation, but the quaver wrecks it.

The idea that spooks and ghouls shop together doesn't work for me.

This interview really articulates the dissatisfaction that I couldn't pinpoint after seeing the movies. I knew, especially with the second film, that Del Torro's was the guiding vision. I just found alot of the humor and sort of eye popping visuals to be unfaithful to the HB universe I know. Shadows, dry humor and

    Not a film, but…
Band of Brothers ep. "Bastogne". War is Hell meets Hell frozen over.

    Ravenous
Awesome premise, poor delivery. Stylistically, I thought the character design was pretty cool.

Give Float Away Deconstructed a listen - it's on eMusic. It's more palatable than is the original production. Even roughed up, though - I still don't think the songs stand up well.
