I have a little less than 100 pages to go, so my opinion could change, but I've thoroughly enjoyed it thus far.

Same way with me.  Step one: record some buzzed about indie movie I feel like I should watch.  Step two: almost start it 12 times over the course of six months.  Step three: give up and delete it.

Recently finished "Live by Night", Dennis Lehane's follow-up to "The Given Day".  Much lighter in tone, but a good read.
