1993 was my first year as a Mormon missionary in Missouri. I saw so many of these in the theater. Had to dress incognito, though, as movies were against the rules.

At the Sundance premiere of 'Tucker and Dale vs. Evil', Tudyk suddenly appeared in the concession line, taking pics with fans who were waiting for popcorn, dancing on random chairs, generally just jacked the crowd up. I'll always love him for that fantastic memory.

Affection for the individual projects aside, Riedenschneider is arguably his best performance ever. He made it seem so effortless, that dickish patter.

How does this compare to 'A Head Full of Ghosts', which was told from a YA perspective, but with decidedly adult themes.

The Magician's Land. Grossman's trilogy will eventually be recognized as one of the best adult fantasy series of all time.

It's not quite 'worse than you can possibly' imagine, but it's pretty bad.  Definitely sub-Scary Movie territory.

And where's 'Where the Woodbine Twineth'? That one's creepy as hell.

'The Necromancer's House' by Christopher Buehlman.  I haven't read Buehlman's previous two novels, but I'm digging this one.

At this year's Sundance I gave a vaguely familiar actress directions to the 7-11.  I just realized it was Jordana Spiro.
