All About Eve is the glaring omission here. One of the great explorations of the anxieties of a woman growing older. Bette Davis didn't have to dig too deep to find that character. She was virtually playing herself. And her younger lover in the film became her younger husband in life.

They were really tempting fate with the Nixon joke. As it was he died 6 months after this ep. aired. And as I live in Australia it's altogether possible that it was shown here around the time he did kick the bucket. Still funny, though. The joke I mean, not Nixon dying.
