As the comic episodes are the ones I rewatch most often, it's almost come to the point where I think of The X-Files as a sit-com.

Spandex movies! That's great. I'm going to call all super hero movies that, from now on.

Not sure about the Robert Mitchum comparison. Can't imagine Mitchum ever playing a male stripper. OTOH there's this. Anyway this does sound like the sort of role I'd love to have seen Mitchum play. These days you have to take what you can get, I suppose.

Had no idea he was popular in South Africa but I can vouch that he made an impact in Australia. 'Sugar Man' was a staple of FM radio in the 70's and a huge poster of the 'Cold Fact' LP cover adorned the wall of my local record store for years. He also toured here a couple of times, once with Midnight Oil.

Where I am in the southern hemisphere right now it's only 5°C (40°F) so a Christmas story seems pretty appropriate.
Many of my favourite X-Files episodes are the comic ones and this one is a blast. How can you not love Asner and Tomlin as mischievous ghosts? And their character analyses of Mulder and Scully is spot on.…

Can't argue with that. Speaking of Hutcherson, his album 'Patterns' is a great one, especially the Stanley Cowell tune 'Effi'. I'd happily live there. In fact I am right now.

Great call although Van's performance of 'Sweet Thing' from Montreux 1990 is about as close to perfection as anything I've heard and segues into 'Astral Weeks' to boot.

Hard to pick one tune from that album but 'Sweet Thing' is probably the one I'd like to live inside. Although of all Van's songs maybe I'd choose either 'Into the Mystic' or 'Summertime in England'.
