Josh and Donna as Nick and Nora! They've already got the witty banter thing down cold.
Bring Sorkin in to pen the dialogue and the whole thing shouldn't cost more than $10 mill.
There, problem solved.

The first article I read by Sarris was a mea culpa in Film Comment about his lack of appreciation for Billy Wilder, where he pointed out that Truffaut's lack of English was a big factor in his and other Cahiers writers love of Hitchcock thrillers and westerns, instead of more wordy (and therefore apparently less

Still remember saving up the money as a kid to buy AGW ($12.99) from the 'cool' record store up the hill from where I lived. Haven't been the same since. Opened my ears to something besides Top 40 pop.

Not so sure about that, seeing Nancy's characters all died horribly in DePalma's movies and Locke always came across as an annoying bitch (well that one Dirty Harry film wasn't bad, I suppose). Now Mia Farrow's best roles were for Woody but I don't know whether it was worth all the off-screen grief.

I'd like to put a vote in for The Sandpiper , if for no other reason than that it co-stars Charlie Bronson as a beatnik sculptor.

I always thought that the most talented and beautiful of those Italian bombshells was Claudia Cardinale. She also had the best career, although she never became a star in the US but then Sophia's Hollywood films weren't huge hits and she only won an Oscar after returning to Italy.
Sad to hear Salma is making crummy

If you took the budgets of the original radio show, the 30's serials, the 50's TV shows and features, various animated versions, the 80's movie and the busted pilot from a few years ago, it'd still only add up to 1/10 of what this behemoth has consumed. And my bet is it'll turn out to be about as 1/10 as entertaining

Poor Val. He once played Jim, now he looks like Van.
