Hmmm…okay, everybody's entitled to their opinion but I'm guessing someone once played you 'Trout Mask Replica' and you still haven't recovered. Understandable but here are two really delightful tracks from the Captain that are pretty much in the mainstream and down right melodic. Not typical I'll grant you but quite

There are no words to convey how much I adore 3 Women.
I know that's a minority opinion b/c most people don't get it.
Glad it has so many fans around here.

Prime Cut, Badlands, Carrie, 3 Women and then the Oscar for playing Loretta Lynn.

I don't mean to be ageist or anything but at 50 Cruise is older than any of the original actors were when they made this movie. Heck even Eli Wallach was 44 at the time. Now, I know Cruise has that whole boyish thing going on but he is a middle-aged man so the McQueen role, which is probably the one he's after,

I think the big difference is that De Niro seems to be sleep-walking through a bunch of mediocre movies where Pacino is positively chewing the scenery, which makes his lows a little more excruciating.
Of course that could also mean that he at least he's still trying, while De Niro is just going through the motions to

Really ? I don't remember De Niro appearing in anything quite as bad as Gigli or Jack and Jill.

I've always got those two confused. For awhile I thought they were the same person. There's just something about that smirking fratboy thing that makes me want to smash his face in with half a brick.
Can't we have some real grown-up men in movies for a change?
