I think that was entirely the point. The "random" dance for each couple, suspiciously very close to their own styles, was obviously determined by producers, and to me it seems that there were no criticisms made after the dancing…

If she were a guest judge, her idiosyncrasies might be more tolerable. But if she keeps doing them twice a week, then it's just incredibly grating

As far as Tyce's choreography goes, I thought this was the best choreo he's ever done for pairs. He's had some pretty great group numbers but he's very underwhelming for everything else (yes, including the cancer-dance).
Ugh everytime he uses a song originally choreographed in Fosse style I want to shoot him for…

I felt the unison was off for almost all the couples, actually. There were some clear errors in this one, but also in the afro jazz and the other hip hop number with Joker-faced Ryan. It almost irked me that none of the judges wanted to discuss it… I guess they want to leave the first week's bottom dancers…

This guy needs some SERIOUS therapy. It sounds like his daily life is fretting about what to write, then coming up with an awesome idea with the writers, then freaking out about the suits, then crying, some more crying, sleeping for an hour at most, editing and crying.

Any guesses on how people will be paired up?

I'm a big fan of that guy that keeps going "woooooooo." Don't know his name, he wasn't shown dancing in Vegas, but that woooooo is super contagious.

I think they both go pretty well together - especially considering how many people from SYTYCD have then been on ABDC, or viceversa. Practically half of Quest Crew was on SYTYCD season 3, Philip Chbeeb was on season 4, and one of the members from We Are Heroes auditioned to pretty good results this season.

Tap's actually worked really well in other SYTYCD - Canada had a tapper that made it all the way to the top 3, I beleive, and I think Australia had one at some point as well. To me it seems they have not helped them at all in their critiques - like season 6 had a male tapper that did a Wade Robson routine early on…
