Rosie O'Donnell
has really slimmed down to fit into that costume judging by that newly released photo.

Yep, I foresee a future in which multiple versions of the same superhero movie will be all made at the same time. Then, they will all be released either in quick succession or at the same time. That way, if one Spider-man under performs, no worries, the next one might do better.

This will vault her celebrity status closer to Jackee
Then like Jackee, years later, she'll start using her last name again to remind us of her glory days, which by said act will only remind us that her career is long over.

Matches
Hopefully there will be a line of designer matches so I can keep one in my mouth, to go along with the leather gloves and aviators.

See also: most 70s disaster movies. Characters often died to prove moral points: character thought their ship/high-rise/plane was man's perfect achievement, character was cheating on husband/wife, character lost belief in God, character was messing around with nature, etc.

Once again, no one shows any semi-fictionalized concern for the Mary Celeste, the Edmund Fitzgerald, or the Eastland maritime disasters.

Good for Grohl and Kings of Leon and Slash and anyone else who doesn't feel like having their music put through the tween pop churner, regardless of their word choices when quoted on the matter.

I say P&R THIS SEASON has easily become so much better than the Office.

Battle Royale
I thought that a 3D version of Battle Royale was finally getting released here in the states 11 years late.

One will turn to stone if exposed to sunlight; the other just likes to stay hidden.

The Sensual World highly accessible
At the time The Sensual World was considered the sell-out album because it was highly accessible, a little bit treacly, and her biggest seller—so, you know, it's a great gateway because it's not too weird, not overly intellectual, or interested in arcane subject matter like Houdini

By the time I got to Ebert's review of Battle: LA, I decided not to waste my money on it. Then I watched Starship Troopers again. Well worth the time.

I just smurfed up in my mouth a little.

McNuggets of different shades
Didn't Universal pioneer the McNugget effect with two different Draculas?

Snake Eyes is one of two reasons I no longer watch any movie with Nicholas Cage. I still like De Palma movies for the most part Cage is one of the worst actors around. To think, he started out as an adequate actor but then over the years has become so awful he can only muster two emotions when acting: shock and anger.

I think the only way Sheen can really #win would be via literal self-immolation. Or, you know, by getting actual psychiatric help, including medication and counseling.

I agree with Magnolia Dargis (NY Times) who said "'Inland Empire' isn't a film to love. It is a work to admire, to puzzle through, to wrestle with. Its pleasures are fugitive, even frustrating."

I don't believe hard copies of films are going to go away either. I think quality and file size issues are the first reason. Another reason is at-the-moment availability of assorted titles — who wants to be at the mercy of a cable or satellite provider, or a streaming film service, when you want to watch your favorite

I think that there are far too many people that like browsing, and you can't sit and read the first few pages of every book that looks interesting that you find online. I think that business in independent bookstores will pick up again after the disappearance of all the Borders stores.

What about poor Scarlett Johansson?
Well if Gwyneth can't dethrone the reigning queen of actresses-turned-singers-whom-everyone-laughs-at-not-with, Scarlett Johansson, who can?
