Mark fixation
I also hope they don't go with the Ann and Mark route. If this show is trying to be like The Office, it needs some of those soul-crushing layers. I think potential for that could be found in Leslie's pining for Mark, and especially her relationship with her mother.

Oh my god, I was in love with a boy just like Nick in high school. He was so sweet, but also very, uh, intense.

Actually, I am one of the apparently five girls here on the AV Club. Oddly enough, when I was 15 I was mistaken for my brother more than once. Hellooo awkward phase!

Crows feet aside…
One of the (many) great things about Freaks and Geeks is that the characters actually look their age. I certainly didn't look like Minka Kelly or Blake Lively or whatever when I was 15.
