Look, I know it's been covered above
But the ad campaign for this is just so fucking stupid.

I only know about this movie because a) it has Jack Lemmon and b) whenever I'm on Francoise Hardy's Wikipedia article it says she's mentioned in that movie. It's been on the bottom of my Netflix for two years.

I was just about to mention this. "I is for intelligent. Because I'm really really intelligent."

    Best Random Roles ever?
Strictly based on how quotable the blurbs for Barbed Wire and My Own Private Idaho are, I say yes.

Yeah, Keanu is legitimately good in that (although maybe working with River Phoenix kind of lights a fire under you). A smart casting choice on Gus Van Sant's part. I hear he's also good in Thumbsucker, but I haven't seen it.

Udo Kier is nude in My Own Private Idaho. And John Hurt has been hurt in various movies.

I suppose anyone would be an amateur when placed next to Big Daddy Kane.

    That's… pretty fair.

    Pavement
For what it's worth, I saw them in Tokyo on their reunion tour and had the time of my life. I don't doubt that it was partly due to the joy of seeing those guys on stage again, but they were also funny, energetic, forceful, slanted and enchanted. They went crazy on "Stereo", inciting the craziest mosh pit

That's one of my favorite episodes of any show, and your avatar is of one of my favorite albums. Good work!

On the subject of Yoko's whitewashing: I've been to the John Lennon museum in Japan. It's a really cool place and I highly recommend it, but if you knew nothing about Lennon going in (yeah, yeah, but hypothetically) you would never know that he was married before Yoko or that he had more than one son. She definitely

Also, he is dead and locked in my basement. Idiots.

It was a joke, Billy. Let it go.

    My Own Private Idaho
Since someone already said "Paris, Texas", I'll go with this one. Never officially released, but man: "Deep Night", "Blue Eyes", "The Old Main Drag", "Cattle Call"… also contains a really good song by River Phoenix's band Aleka's Attic.

    "2,3,4, NOT."

    Awwww
"I get to drive onto a lot every day and have the security guard wave at me."

    RoboCop Vision Gags
The "paintball sequel" one was definitely funny, but I loved the one that said something like "book Starburns for T&A in the AM?". Of course, it becomes even funnier with the "Troy & Abed in the Morning" tag. Just a nice touch that's pretty unique to this show.

Glover is the man. Writing for 30 Rock, leaving to focus on stand-up, then signing on to the best comedy on TV as its funniest character all while releasing his own music? Damn.

"Gunsmoke was one of my favorite programs."

His Nirvana book is a pretty great read.
