@avclub-705562aaa4a5b85bfa44373d8e6bf234:disqus Here - Vladek begins speaking around the 1:20 mark: http://www.youtube.com/watc…
Uh, strongly disagree about Ginzo's father - the character reminds me so much of my paternal greatgrandfather that I actually feel chest pains whenever I see the character. Listen to some of the recordings of Vladek Spiegelman sometime - this is how some of those guys spoke and acted.
Once you're actually in a relationship, you learn quickly that just because someone hugs you back, that doesn't mean everything is suddenly smiles and sunshine. In my experience, it usually means I better put a pot of coffee on, because I'm going to be spending the night talking instead of going to sleep.
@KingofWildThings:disqus Yeah, nothing more annoying than women wanting equal pay for doing the same work as men, or to live without the lifelong threat of rape being held over their heads.
It's true, Ebert loved a lot of shit. He was a brilliant critic, but he insisted on grading movies only against themselves. So remember that the next time you invoke his name, Ebert really liked Garfield 2: A Tail of Two Kitties.
That… seems perfectly fair, yes.
I hate 'Beer' brand beer.
The show has been on for almost six years and this is the first time I remember an anachronism making it to the internet. So probably a fair amount of fact checking.
How about Dorsia?
I know this was only posted a few minutes ago, but this deserves all the arbitrary internet points.
Then why have you been watching it for the last four years?
To that end, I will continue my practice of watching life-affirming naked female breasts rather than waste another second pretending that showing amounts of gore more suitable to an abattoir is the same thing as good writing, plotting, characterization, acting, etc.
Meh, Anthony Hopkins played the character as he saw it - a self-aggrandizing psychopath utterly devoid of merit. But like Tony Soprano and Don Draper, people had the exact wrong reaction to what was being presented to them.
What's important is that you set me straight on the nature of "playing" a "character." You have a bright future as an analrapist, sir.
But if you had to ask, how many things is he mad about?
Poor Will Arnett. He looks so unhappy in that shot, like he's thinking "I had my own show… and it wasn't bad. Why'd they do that to us? Why do I have to keep doing the gravel-voice thing? I miss Amy…"
lol wut does that mean lulz
"you think you’ve found a show’s rock bottom, but Kevin Williamson and
co. seem to be in the business of designing advanced excavation tools
designed to drill through that rock bottom bedrock into the very depths
of hell."
@avclub-a9dbf6c70f867fb5d09900f7bab79c25:disqus You questioned the logic of a science fiction movie that came out during the first Clinton administration?
