@LordRegentSheltie:disqus points out that all (presumably) pintobean's posts complain about writers on this site. Then, he (pintobeans) advocates a specific style of writing. AND then he went through the trouble of looking up and through the author's internet activity. Although I gotta say, "hellogiggles.com",

An intelligent argument about why this paper fails instead of a personal attack on the author or a certain style of writing.

But…but this is the internet! And snark is the internet version of intelligence!

Sonia is currently my favorite writer on this site. I like her views on Mad Men.

Yes, those last three lines you quoted aren't the best…but shows like Mad Men and especially True Detective aren't skewered here either. There's plenty of room for snarking on those shows, good as they are. So I have to wonder if the comments are so negative because most of the A.V. Club readers aren't fans of Beyonce

It's not the slyly snarky, modern-witty style of writing of most A.V. Club reviews.

Do female actors fall into these categories? Or do they have distinct categories?

It's like the lotto (sorta, kinda), people think if they play (donate) they can start an Kickstarter for their macaroni salad (or whatever) and get $20K too.

They forgot to edit the one side.

Yes, but they also gave the last album of hers AV Club (there is an album in between the reviewer doesn't acknowledge) reviewed has a worse grade than this one. Seems inconsistent.

The author seems to prefer fair-haired men. I'd rather see Tony Leung

As a woman, I'd take Tony Leung over Benedict Cumberbatch or Ryan Gosling.
