Pretty sure you mean "inhospitable" planet, Mr. Tobias.  Earth is inhabited (that's what all the pesky humans are doing in the film).

I thought the spaceship was lumpy and uncool, but had no problems with the lack of lasers.  And I'm still addicted to Reece's Pieces.
